Cindy Crawford Is 60. Here’s What’s in Her Morning Smoothie

Cindy Crawford Is 60. Here’s What’s in Her Morning Smoothie

Few faces are as synonymous with the supermodel era as Cindy Crawford. More than three decades after becoming one of the most recognisable models of the 1990s, Crawford is now 60, and her approach to ageing has evolved along with her. Rather than chasing the idea of looking 30 forever, she has spoken openly about wellness, consistency and taking care of herself as she gets older.

So when she recently shared what goes into her morning smoothie, one ingredient naturally caught our attention.

Collagen.

What’s in Cindy Crawford’s morning smoothie?

During a podcast appearance, Crawford shared the morning smoothie that forms part of her daily routine.

It’s a nutrient-dense combination of protein, healthy fats, greens, seeds and functional ingredients, and the type of breakfast that can easily become part of a consistent morning ritual.

Interestingly, smoothies have been part of Crawford’s morning routine for years. She has previously shared variations of her breakfast smoothie, suggesting this isn't simply the latest wellness trend she has picked up.

And consistency is something we talk about a lot at ProPlenish.

The ingredient that caught our attention? Collagen.

Our bodies naturally produce collagen, the structural protein that helps provide strength and support throughout the body, including the skin.

But collagen production doesn't remain constant throughout life.

As we age, our natural collagen levels gradually decline. Environmental and lifestyle factors, including UV exposure, can also contribute to collagen breakdown.

That is one reason collagen has become such a popular addition to daily wellness routines, particularly for people looking to support their skin from within as they age.

Hydrolysed marine collagen peptides are designed to be easily incorporated into everyday foods and drinks, making a morning smoothie one of the simplest ways to make collagen part of a consistent routine.

Why your morning smoothie is such an easy place to start

One of the biggest advantages of adding collagen to a smoothie isn't complicated nutritional science.

It's habit.

A supplement can only become part of your routine if you actually remember to take it.

Adding collagen to something you already do each morning removes another decision from your day. Make your smoothie, add your collagen, and move on with your morning.

It is the same reason we created ProPlenish in convenient daily serves.

Rather than treating collagen as something you remember occasionally, it becomes part of an established daily ritual.

Make it the ProPlenish way

Cindy Crawford-Inspired Collagen Smoothie

You'll need:
+ Coconut milk

+ Few fresh mint leaves
+ 1 serve of ProPlenish Marine Collagen Original
+ Your preferred protein powder
+ Cacao
+ Ground flaxseed
+ Maca powder
+ Hemp seeds to finish

Add everything except the hemp seeds to a blender and blend until smooth. Pour into a glass, sprinkle with hemp seeds and enjoy. Adjust quantities and ingredients to suit your individual nutritional needs and preferences.

Collagen and ageing well

There is something we particularly like about Crawford's approach to ageing. At 60, she isn't pretending that ageing doesn't happen.

Instead, she has spoken about adjusting how she cares for herself as her body changes. It's a philosophy that aligns closely with how we think about beauty at ProPlenish.

Healthy ageing isn't about trying to stop time. It's about supporting your skin and body through every stage.

Research into hydrolysed collagen peptides has explored their potential role in supporting skin characteristics including hydration and elasticity. While collagen isn't a magic solution, it can form one part of a broader approach that includes good nutrition, movement, sleep, sun protection and consistent skincare.

And perhaps that's the real takeaway from Crawford's morning routine. There isn't one secret ingredient responsible for ageing well. It's the small things you do consistently. And when collagen is already part of your routine, adding it to something you make every morning can make that consistency beautifully simple.

ProPlenish has been supporting Australian beauty and wellness routines with premium marine collagen since 2010.
